Career Transition Support

  • Have you ever felt the pull to do something different work-wise but not known what you want to do nor how to figure it out?
  • Have you tried to decide what's next but gotten confused, stuck or found that day-to-day demands diverted your attention?

For individuals seeking work that is satisfying and personally motivating.

Each experience is customized to your needs; no two people will have the exact same process. That said, there tend to be 3 phases to our work. The first phase is building self-awareness of your motivations, priorities and goals – this leads us to discern and articulate your core purpose. The second phase is focused outwardly toward what's going on in the broader world and seeking the match between that and what you want to do. The third phase is making a change happen. Along the way, blocks to movement will be discerned and addressed.

Although each engagement is unique, all are characterized by guidance through conversation, listening and reflecting. Your job is to relax into the process, my job is to create a path for you.

Sorting Things Out

  • Do you find yourself overwhelmed by a project, unclear about the best path forward?
  • Is the purpose for this project muddled up in the day to day things to do?
  • Do you have good ideas but notice them rattling around in your head somehow going nowhere?
  • Do you talk to people but find their agendas confuse your progress?

For individuals or entrepreneurs who feel unclear in relation to a particular project, business initiative or element of life.

The creative process relies on open space and fresh perspective. Your job is to bring all your information, ideas and confusion to the table. My job is to help you sort it out, discern your core purpose(s), and get clear about how to make things happen. Bring your confusion and walk away with clarity and a game plan.

Working with Difficult People

  • Do you work with a person who aggravates you?
  • Do you find yourself triggered and reactive?
  • Is your success, your future, tied to a dysfunctional co-worker or boss?
  • Could you use some insight and strategies for handling yourself and the situation?

For individuals or organizations struggling with a challenging personality.

It is not always clear how to take professional and personal care of oneself when working with, around, or for a difficult person. Organizations struggle with how to handle narcissists and sociopaths in the workplace. It can help to understand nuances of various problem personalities and have support to strategize your best course for self care and action.

Your job is to bring your frustration, confusion, fear, and stories. My job is to listen, ask questions, discern what sort of personality you confront, devise strategies for you to experiment with, help you discern what works for you and what doesn't. Arrive frustrated and upset, walk away with clarity, strategies and tactics to handle yourself or your organization effectively and professionally.

On-going Support

  • Do you find that it's exciting to take a big step in a new direction, or get a project off the ground, but challenging to maintain focus as your effort shifts back to the day-to-day?
  • Do you lose sight why you are doing what you are doing as you focus on getting stuff done?

Would you find it useful to draw on the support of someone who knows you, knows what you're trying to accomplish and can help you get past the little roadblocks that inevitably arise along the way?

For clients who want to draw on our established relationship to maintain focus and keep moving effectively forward. Since each client engagement is different, the nature of the on-going support varies widely. You can relax into your work, knowing that someone is in your corner, has your back, and will be there to help you sort things out when you need.
